Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 12

तामसी सर्वलोकस्य त्रिविधं च फलं लभेत् । ते कर्मफलसंयोगादावर्तन्ते पुनःपुनः

tāmasī sarvalokasya trividhaṃ ca phalaṃ labhet | te karmaphalasaṃyogādāvartante punaḥpunaḥ

Par une disposition tāmasique, les êtres du monde obtiennent un fruit triple ; et, par leur attachement aux fruits des actes, ils tournent et reviennent sans cesse, encore et encore.
