Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 26

देवतानां मनुष्याणां पित्ःणामनृणो भवे । न भार्यासदृशो बन्धुस्त्रिषु लोकेषु विद्यते

devatānāṃ manuṣyāṇāṃ pitḥṇāmanṛṇo bhave | na bhāryāsadṛśo bandhustriṣu lokeṣu vidyate

Par une telle conduite droite, on devient quitte envers les dieux, envers les hommes et envers les ancêtres ; car, dans les trois mondes, nul parent n’est comparable à l’épouse.
