पतन्तं रक्षयेद्देवि महापातकिनं यदि । महाघोरे गता वापि दुष्टकर्मपितामहाः

patantaṃ rakṣayeddevi mahāpātakinaṃ yadi | mahāghore gatā vāpi duṣṭakarmapitāmahāḥ

Ô Déesse, si (un fils) peut protéger celui qui tombe, fût-il un grand pécheur, alors même des aïeux aux actes mauvais, quand bien même parvenus à l’état le plus terrible, peuvent être sauvés.
