अकामकामाश्च तथा सकामा रेवान्तमाश्रित्य म्रियन्ति तीरे । जडान्धमूकास्त्रिदिवं प्रयान्ति किमत्र विप्रा भवभावयुक्ताः

akāmakāmāśca tathā sakāmā revāntamāśritya mriyanti tīre | jaḍāndhamūkāstridivaṃ prayānti kimatra viprā bhavabhāvayuktāḥ

Qu’ils soient sans désir ou pleins de désirs, ceux qui prennent refuge dans la région ultime de Revā et meurent sur sa rive—même l’abruti, l’aveugle et le muet—vont au ciel. Qu’y a-t-il donc d’étonnant, ô brāhmaṇas, pour ceux qui sont dotés de la juste ferveur?
