Determination of Śiva as Higher and Lower Brahman

It teaches that the Supreme Lord’s reality cannot be finalized by mere intellectual speculation, because differing concepts and assumptions fragment understanding; Shaiva Siddhanta emphasizes turning from doubt to direct means—grace, devotion, and disciplined yoga—toward certainty.
When the highest truth seems disputable at the level of concepts, the tradition offers accessible Saguna supports—especially the Shiva Linga—as a steady focus for devotion and contemplation, leading the mind from many notions to one-pointed realization of Shiva.
Reduce conceptual wavering through japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with dhyāna on Shiva (often with Linga worship), supported by Shaiva disciplines such as bhasma (Tripuṇḍra) and rudrāksha as aids to steadiness and purity.
