Tattva Level: pashu
Sthala Purana: Lists pūjā implements (ghaṭa, kalaśa, kamaṇḍalu) typical of tīrtha/āśrama worship; not a named Jyotirliṅga narrative.
Significance: Emphasizes correct upacāra and preparedness—ritual order sustains devotion and supports the soul’s steady orientation to Śiva (sthiti).
Role: nurturing
Offering: dhupa
It highlights that devotion to Pati (Śiva) is expressed through orderly, pure preparation—gathering clean and auspicious vessels for offerings—showing disciplined bhakti that supports inner purification.
The listing of pots, pitchers, lotus-leaf covers, and flasks points to abhiṣeka-oriented Linga worship, where water and sanctified substances are offered to Saguna Śiva as a means to approach the transcendent Nirguna reality.
Prepare dedicated abhiṣeka vessels (ghaṭa, kalaśa, kamaṇḍalu, karaka), maintain cleanliness and auspiciousness, and perform water-offering to the Shiva Linga while mentally repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
