Mantra Efficacy, Removal of Obstacles, and the Role of Faith/Discipline

Sthala Purana: Not a jyotirliṅga passage; it teaches the inner qualification (śraddhā) and the proper tempo of practice—unhurried, not driven by immediate visible gain.
Role: teaching
It teaches that spiritual karma and worship must be grounded in śraddhā and steadiness, not in impatience for quick, visible gains; without faith, the deeper fruit—inner purification and Shiva’s grace—does not mature.
Linga-worship is meant to nurture continuous devotion and surrender to Shiva’s timing; approaching Saguna Shiva merely for immediate boons reflects a lack of śraddhā, which blocks the ripening of lasting spiritual results.
Perform japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and daily Linga-pūjā with calm regularity—optionally with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa—without bargaining for instant outcomes.
