The verse affirms the Sapta Mātṛkās as cosmic protectresses—Śakti functioning as the universal maternal power that sustains and guards all worlds under Śiva’s supreme lordship (Pati).
In Saguna worship, Śiva is adored with His inseparable Śakti; honoring the Mothers supports the devotee’s approach to the Liṅga by recognizing that divine grace and protection operate through Śakti while Śiva remains the sovereign source.
A practical takeaway is to worship Śiva with His Śakti—performing simple Liṅga-pūjā with devotion while japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) is maintained, seeking protection and inner steadiness.
