Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
The verse emphasizes that spiritual acts become truly fruitful when they are aligned with Shiva’s will and performed correctly; in Shaiva Siddhanta, right action (kriyā) gains efficacy through the Lord’s anugraha (grace) and sanction.
Linga-worship is a concrete (saguṇa) mode of approaching Shiva; this verse highlights that such worship yields results when authorized by right tradition and carried out with proper observance—Shiva’s approval is the inner source of its power.
The takeaway is to perform Shiva-kriyā—such as Linga-pūjā with mantra-japa (especially the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”)—carefully and according to injunctions, seeking Shiva’s inner assent so the practice becomes saphala (fruit-bearing).
