Tout ce que les mots peuvent désigner—qu’il soit de nature consciente (cit) ou inconsciente (acit)—sachant que tout cela demeure en la présence de Śiva–Śakti, le Couple divin, qu’on adore d’une manière générale et englobante.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Significance: Teaches sarva-samarpana-bhāva: offering all named/knowable reality (cit and acit) to Śiva-Śakti, leading to purification of malas and readiness for grace.
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
Offering: pushpa
Cosmic Event: cit-acit totality gathered into worship: ontological synthesis (pati over paśu and pāśa)
It teaches that everything expressible by language—both the conscious self (cit) and insentient nature (acit)—is to be recognized as resting in Śiva’s domain; this vision turns worship into an all-pervading reverence that supports liberation (moksha) through right understanding and devotion.
Seeing all meanings and objects as present ‘beside Śiva’ supports Saguna worship through the Linga as a sacred focus: the devotee offers the entire world of names and forms into Śiva, while remembering that Śiva transcends them as Pati, the Lord beyond both cit and acit.
Practice ‘sarvārpaṇa-bhāva’—mentally offering all experiences and objects to Śiva during puja or japa (especially with Om Namaḥ Śivāya), cultivating continuous remembrance that every word and meaning belongs to Śiva’s presence.
