FAQs

It points to an ordered manifestation of powers (śaktis) within the cosmos and then names the Sun through successive epithets, implying that even cosmic regulators like Sūrya function through divinely arranged śakti under the supreme Lord (Pati) in a Shaiva Siddhanta reading.

By listing śaktis and then Sūrya’s names, the verse frames visible cosmic forms as expressions of divine power—supporting Saguna contemplation where devotees worship Shiva (often via the Liṅga) as the inner ruler and source of the energies that appear as directions, deities, and luminous principles.

A practical takeaway is directional and solar contemplation: while wearing Rudrākṣa and applying Tripuṇḍra, one may repeat the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and meditate that all śaktis and the Sun’s radiance arise from Shiva’s grace and governance.
