It teaches that external ritual boundaries support inner purity and focus, but Shiva’s grace is not restricted by rigid measurements—devotion and correct intention are primary.
In Saguna Shiva worship, orderly preparation of the worship-space (including the kuṇḍa-facing boundary or mekhalā) is part of honoring Shiva’s presence in the rite, while acknowledging flexibility in non-essential details.
It suggests a practical guideline for setting the ritual boundary-band near the fire-pit—kept slightly forward and kuṇḍa-facing—made simply from clay or sand, emphasizing disciplined but adaptable pūjā preparation.
