Après avoir rendu toute chose agréable et de bon augure, par la pensée ou par l’acte, qu’on demeure ensuite dans la pureté et qu’on dorme au pied du Seigneur et de la Déesse, en service dévot.

Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It teaches integrated worship: aligning inner intention (mind) and outer conduct (action), then resting in humble surrender at Shiva and Shakti’s feet—an image of placing the ego in abeyance and living in devotional dependence on Pati.
The verse emphasizes saguna-upasana through personal attendance to the Divine Couple—service, purity, and reverence—which supports linga-worship by cultivating the same bhava: offering what is pleasing and then abiding near the Lord in surrendered remembrance.
Practice śauca (cleanliness) and seva: make the worship-space and offerings pleasing, maintain purity of body and mind, and conclude with quiet rest/meditative abiding at the Lord’s feet—ideally with japa of a Shiva mantra such as the Panchakshara.
