Ensuite, prenant le disciple tout près, le précepteur doit murmurer à ses deux oreilles le mantra sacré de Śiva. Puis il fera demeurer ce disciple à la droite du Seigneur (la divinité), l’y établissant pour le culte consacré.

Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Mantra: (implied) oṃ namaḥ śivāya / “śivam” (śiva-nāma/mantra) karṇayoḥ
Type: panchakshara
It highlights Śaiva dīkṣā: the disciple is inwardly linked to Pati (Śiva) through mantra received at the ear, and outwardly established in an auspicious, disciplined proximity to the deity—signifying entry into regulated worship and grace-led purification.
The “right side of the Lord” points to formal, temple-style Saguna worship (including Liṅga worship), where the initiate is ritually positioned and authorized to serve the deity after receiving Śiva-mantra from the guru.
Mantra-japa given through ear-initiation (karnopadeśa) and a consecrated seating/adhivāsa near the deity—implying disciplined repetition of Śiva-mantra (commonly the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as part of daily pūjā and meditation.
