Après en avoir offert la moitié comme naivedya pour le homa, qu’on prépare dûment le reste. Puis, devant—dans un maṇḍala préparé et orné de couleurs sacrées—que le rite se poursuive selon l’injonction.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
Offering: naivedya
It emphasizes disciplined offering—giving a portion into the sacred fire and carefully preparing the remainder—showing that devotion to Shiva is expressed through orderly, consecrated action that purifies the practitioner (pāśa-kṣaya) and steadies the mind for grace (anugraha).
The prepared, color-adorned maṇḍala in front indicates a sanctified ritual space where Saguna Shiva is invoked and honored through visible supports (maṇḍala, homa, offerings), aligning outer worship with inner reverence toward the Linga-principle.
Perform homa with properly apportioned offerings and establish a consecrated maṇḍala before the worship-seat; as a meditative takeaway, maintain careful sequence and purity while repeating Shiva-mantra (e.g., the Panchakshara) during the offering.
