Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Declares samaya-saṃskāra as the paramount sādhana for ‘Śivapura-prāpti’—i.e., eligibility for Śiva’s grace and post-mortem/para-loka attainment, and (in Siddhānta reading) the trajectory toward mokṣa through dīkṣā and right conduct.
Role: liberating
It declares that the “Samaya” saṃskāra is a highest-grade sādhana because it purifies and aligns the seeker with Śiva, enabling direct movement toward Śivapura—symbolizing liberation through the Lord’s grace.
A saṃskāra like Samaya typically frames disciplined Śaiva practice—right conduct, devotion, and ritual purity—through which Saguna worship (including Liṅga-upāsanā) becomes an effective gateway to Śiva’s saving presence and final release.
The verse points to adopting a formal Śaiva observance (saṃskāra) as one’s discipline—commonly supported by steady mantra-japa (e.g., pañcākṣarī), purity observances, and regulated worship as the practical means toward Śiva’s abode.
