It emphasizes that spiritual upliftment comes through disciplined, rule-governed worship—purification (ācamana), devotion (pūjā), and consecrated action (homa)—performed under a guru and offered to Śiva, whose grace perfects the rite.
Calling Śiva “Deveśa” frames Him as the accessible Saguna Lord who receives pūjā and homa; such external worship supports inner purification and steadiness, preparing the devotee for deeper realization while remaining anchored in Śiva-bhakti.
Perform ācamana for purity, then complete Śiva-pūjā followed by a properly prescribed homa; the takeaway is disciplined daily worship under guidance, with offerings made as per śāstra and one’s eligibility.
