Inquiry into the Expansion of Śiva’s Vibhūti

Cosmic Event: Vara-phala: attainment of putra through Śiva’s grace following stuti and namaskāra.
The verse highlights that sincere surrender—bowing with folded hands and offering stuti—invites Shiva’s anugraha (grace), which can manifest even as worldly boons like progeny, while ultimately pointing to the Shaiva principle that grace follows humility and devotion.
The act of namaskara with kṛtāñjali and stuti is a classic mode of Saguna Shiva worship—approaching Shiva as the gracious Lord who responds to devotion. In Linga-worship too, praise and reverent salutation are primary upacāras that cultivate receptivity to Shiva’s grace.
Practice añjali with namaskara and recite a Shiva-stuti (or the Pañcākṣarī mantra, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with humility, seeking Shiva’s grace; the emphasis is on inner surrender rather than mere outward request.
