Inquiry into Pramāṇa, Divine Autonomy, and Grace

It teaches that actions aligned with Īśāna (Śiva) and His ordinance are not दोष (spiritual fault); deluded opposition to divine injunction leads to downfall, reinforcing Shaiva Siddhanta’s emphasis on right knowledge and obedience to Pati.
Linga-worship is traditionally performed according to Śiva’s own ājñā as taught in the Purāṇa; the verse frames such prescribed devotion to Saguna Śiva as purifying and non-faulty, while doubting or rejecting it out of moha becomes spiritually destructive.
Follow Śiva-ājñā in daily sādhana—regular Linga-pūjā with mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and disciplined observance of Shaiva rules; the core takeaway is faithful adherence rather than speculative doubt.
