Manifestation of Ardhanārīśvara and the Impulse for Procreative Creation
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
The verse praises Shiva as “amogha” (never fruitless): His grace, power of manifestation (māyā), divine play (līlā), and strength (bala) inevitably lead the devotee toward protection, purification, and liberation when approached with sincere bhakti.
By celebrating Shiva’s māyā, līlā, and bala, the verse supports Saguna worship—approaching the formless Pati through a worshipful form such as the Śiva-liṅga, where the devotee experiences the Lord’s active, unfailing presence and grace.
Repeated japa of such “jaya-amogha” praise as a stotra-style chant can be paired with Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), offering bilva leaves and applying tripuṇḍra (bhasma) to steady devotion and concentrate the mind on Shiva’s unfailing grace.
