Instruction on Rudra–Viṣṇu Unity and Divine Injunctions
Suta Goswami (narrating the Rudrasaṃhitā account to the sages, with the verse describing Lord Shiva’s act toward Vishnu/Hari)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva as Parameśvara and kṛpānidhi—whose liberating anugraha (grace) descends through compassionate contact, showing that mokṣa is ultimately granted by the Lord’s mercy, not merely by effort.
The verse portrays Saguna Śiva’s tangible, personal grace—mirrored in Liṅga worship where devotees approach the manifest symbol of Śiva to receive blessing, purification, and inner transformation.
A takeaway is to seek Śiva’s grace through bhakti: perform Liṅga-abhiṣeka, apply tripuṇḍra (bhasma) with remembrance of Śiva, and japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as a prayer for anugraha.
