«Je serai ton soutien en toute œuvre, même dans les tâches difficiles à endurer. Je détruirai tes ennemis, ces adversaires les plus redoutables et si durs à vaincre».
Lord Shiva (Rudra)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Role: liberating
It presents Shiva as Pati (the Lord and protector) who actively supports the devotee through even the most difficult karmic situations, destroying both outer threats and inner enemies like fear, anger, and delusion when one takes refuge in Him.
The promise reflects Saguna Shiva’s grace—approachable and responsive to devotion. In Linga worship, the devotee seeks this protective, obstacle-removing aspect of Shiva while remembering that the Linga also signifies His transcendent (Nirguna) reality.
Take refuge through japa of the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offer water to the Shiva-linga with a prayer for protection, and practice inner vigilance—treating anger and ego as ‘enemies’ to be overcome by Shiva’s grace.
