Instruction on Rudra–Viṣṇu Unity and Divine Injunctions
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: nurturing
It teaches that duḥkha inevitably appears in the created realm, and the Shaiva remedy is to turn one’s intention toward Śiva—the Pati—whose grace dissolves sorrow and the bonds that cause it.
It points to practical refuge: worship of Saguna Śiva—especially the Śiva-liṅga as His accessible form—so the devotee can focus the mind and seek the destruction of all sorrows through devotion and surrender.
Adopt Śiva-śaraṇāgati (taking refuge in Śiva) through steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” along with simple liṅga-pūjā (water/abhisheka) as a focused remedy when suffering arises.
