उपमं त्वा मघोनां ज्येष्ठं च वृषभाणाम् । पूर्भित्तमं मघवन्निन्द्र गोविदमीशानं राय ईमहे ॥

upamáṃ tvā maghónāṃ jyéṣṭhaṃ ca vr̥ṣabhā́ṇām | pūrbhíttamaṃ maghavann indra govídam ī́śānaṃ rāyá īmahe ||

Nous te recherchons, toi le plus haut parmi les généreux, l’aîné parmi les puissances taurines, le plus apte à briser les enceintes fortifiées. Ô Indra, découvreur des « vaches » (rayons), maître de la plénitude, nous aspirons à posséder ta plénitude d’être.
