उदकैर्लिलितं पश्चाद्गलितं पैष्टिकं मधु । वृक्षजं फलजं चेति द्विविधं क्रियते मधु ॥ १७ ॥
udakairlilitaṃ paścādgalitaṃ paiṣṭikaṃ madhu | vṛkṣajaṃ phalajaṃ ceti dvividhaṃ kriyate madhu || 17 ||
Le miel (ou breuvage doux) se prépare de deux façons : (1) celui fait de farine—d’abord mêlé à l’eau puis filtré ; et (2) celui issu des plantes—provenant soit des arbres, soit des fruits.
