Even when the goal is devotional realization, the Purāṇa emphasizes disciplined ritual supports—nyāsa and aṅga-vidhi—to steady the mind, sanctify the body as a seat of worship, and make devotion focused and potent.
It highlights practical mantra-vidhi (ritual technique): sequential performance (krama), aṅga-prayoga (six auxiliaries), and nyāsa (placement of mantra-syllables), reflecting the text’s technical/śāstra-oriented instruction characteristic of Book 1.3.
