Tous les péchés s’apaisent par l’eau prise avec vigilance intérieure et le regard correctement posé. Pour l’ācamana (gorgée rituelle), on prescrit le mantra « kalpānta-nayana-svāhā ».
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It teaches that purification is not only physical (water) but also mental and sensory—ācamana becomes effective when performed with mindful attention and proper ritual focus, thereby calming sinful tendencies.
By emphasizing disciplined purity and mantra-usage in daily rites, it supports bhakti as a lived practice—clean conduct and sanctified speech prepare the devotee for sincere remembrance and worship.
It highlights mantra-prayoga and ritual procedure (kalpa/vaidika-vidhi): the specific ācamana mantra and the correct attentive performance, aligning daily conduct with Vedic technical discipline.
