होमांते विवधै रत्नैः पलैरपि बलिं हरेत् । बलिं मंत्रेण विधिवद्बलिमंत्रः प्रकाश्यते ॥ १३२ ॥
homāṃte vivadhai ratnaiḥ palairapi baliṃ haret | baliṃ maṃtreṇa vidhivadbalimaṃtraḥ prakāśyate || 132 ||
À la fin du homa, qu’on présente l’offrande bali, avec diverses pierres précieuses ou, à défaut, avec des fruits. Le bali doit être offert selon la règle, accompagné d’un mantra ; c’est pourquoi le mantra du bali est maintenant énoncé.

It emphasizes completing a homa with a proper bali-offering, showing that ritual wholeness includes respectful offerings made with mantra and correct procedure (vidhi), not merely the fire oblations.
By insisting on offering with mantra and reverence—even if only simple fruits are available—it points to devotion expressed through sincerity and orderly worship rather than luxury alone.
