FAQs

The verse functions as a sacred name-list (nāma-saṅkīrtana) that concentrates auspicious, protective, and victorious divine qualities—invoking invincibility (Ajitā/Aparājitā), eternal presence (Nityā), and well-being (Maṅgalā).

It models bhakti through remembrance and recitation of divine epithets: devotion is practiced as attentive naming (japa/stotra), where the devotee aligns the mind with the deity’s auspicious attributes like victory, fearlessness, and grace.

The verse reflects a technical stotra-structure—systematic enumeration of names used in ritual prayoga; it supports correct liturgical usage (linked to Śikṣā for recitation and Vyākaraṇa for precise forms of names) rather than astrology or complex rite-description in this single śloka.
