FAQs

It teaches that sacred speech (Vāk) is to be revered in both its refined (Saṁskṛta) and natural/vernacular (Prākṛta) expressions, recognizing the Goddess of learning as the source of complete accomplishment when honored in a balanced way.

Bhakti here is expressed as disciplined upāsanā of the Goddess of speech—approaching the Divine through reverence for mantra, learning, and truthful expression, which supports devotion by purifying one’s words and understanding.

It reflects a Vedāṅga-oriented emphasis on correct and sacred language—supporting disciplines like Vyākaraṇa (grammar) and Śikṣā (phonetics)—while also acknowledging accessible forms of expression (Prākṛta) used for teaching and practice.
