The Recitation of the Thousand Names of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa (Yugala-Sahasranāma) and Śaraṇāgati-Dharma
Narada (teaching in a didactic context within Book 1.3)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches śaraṇāgati (full surrender) as an inner practice: steady remembrance of Hari in the heart, paired with unwavering trust that the Lord Himself is the protector.
Bhakti here is expressed as continuous smaraṇa (remembrance) and prapatti (taking refuge), where devotion matures into confidence that God’s grace—not one’s own power—is the sustaining force.
A practical sādhana principle is emphasized: disciplined mental recollection (cintana/smṛti) and repeated affirmation (bhāvanā) that stabilizes the mind—useful as a supportive method alongside Vedanga-based study and ritual life.
