The Recitation of the Thousand Names of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa (Yugala-Sahasranāma) and Śaraṇāgati-Dharma
श्रीकृष्णप्रीतिदा भीता प्रत्यंगपुलकांचिता । श्रीकृष्णालिंगनरता गोविंदविरहाक्षमा ॥ १६८ ॥
śrīkṛṣṇaprītidā bhītā pratyaṃgapulakāṃcitā | śrīkṛṣṇāliṃganaratā goviṃdavirahākṣamā || 168 ||
Narada (in a devotional description within the Narada Purana dialogue tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shringara
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It portrays the classical inner symptoms of intense bhakti—reverent trembling, bodily horripilation, and inability to tolerate separation—showing devotion as a transformative state centered on Govinda.
Bhakti is presented as single-pointed attachment to Śrī Kṛṣṇa: the devotee seeks His closeness (āliṅgana) and experiences viraha (pain of separation), which deepens remembrance and surrender.
No specific Vedāṅga technique (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa ritual procedure) is directly taught here; the verse instead emphasizes bhāva-lakṣaṇas—recognizable inner markers of devotion used in devotional instruction.
