Le sage doit offrir en dakṣiṇā de la tulasī rouge et une paire d’offrandes enduites de santal rouge, ainsi qu’un couple de chevaux : un étalon et une jument.
Narada (in instruction on dāna and ritual gifting within the Vedāṅga-oriented section)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes dhārmic giving (dāna) as a regulated ritual act: offering auspicious, sanctifying items (tulasī, red sandal) along with substantial gifts as dakṣiṇā to complete a rite with merit.
Tulasī is a hallmark of Viṣṇu-oriented devotion; offering it respectfully within ritual gifting links external rite (karma) with devotional sanctity (bhakti) through sacred substances.
It reflects kalpa-style ritual procedure: specifying dakṣiṇā items, their preparation (anointing with red sandal), and the rule of paired offerings—practical guidance used in yajña and vrata contexts.
