Entrant dans l’ermitage, le sage le fit asseoir sur son propre siège et le fit manger ; et Gautama Muni lui-même mangea dans ce même récipient qui était le sien.

Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It upholds atithi-dharma: honoring a guest as worthy of reverence by offering one’s own seat, feeding him first, and showing humility through personal service.
Though not a direct bhakti injunction, it reflects the bhakti ethic of seva (service) and egolessness—treating a guest with reverence is aligned with seeing the divine in others.
It illustrates smārta-sadācāra (practical dharma etiquette) connected to kalpa/prayoga—proper hospitality procedure: seat the guest, feed him, and only then attend to oneself.
