Après avoir purifié les feuilles blanches et y avoir déposé un fragment de camphre, il offre ensuite cette poudre en naivedya à Śaṅkara—ô Gautama.
Narada (in instruction to Gautama, within a technical/ritual explanation)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes śauca (ritual purity) and proper nivedana (offering) as a disciplined method of worship, where purified materials and fragrant camphor symbolize inner cleansing and devotion directed to Śaṅkara.
Bhakti is expressed through attentive, reverent service—purifying the offering, preparing it carefully, and presenting it to the deity; the verse shows devotion taking a concrete form through correct upacāra and nivedya.
It reflects ritual-technical know-how—procedural sequencing (purify → place camphor → offer), material selection, and purity rules—typical of Vedāṅga-aligned applied disciplines used to standardize worship and rites.
