It presents a concrete miracle to illustrate stotra-śakti: sincere singing of Hanumān’s praise is said to restore vitality and auspiciousness even to what is “dry” or depleted, symbolizing renewal of prāṇa, fortune, and spiritual vigor through devotion.
Bhakti here is expressed as kīrtana—audible praise. The verse teaches that devotion is not merely internal sentiment; when voiced as reverent singing of Hanumān’s qualities, it becomes a transformative practice that sanctifies the environment and uplifts the devotee’s life.
It highlights śabda-prayoga (disciplined use of sacred sound): correct recitation/singing (linked to Śikṣā—phonetics) and the efficacy of stotra/mantra in applied religious practice, a theme consistent with Book 1.3’s technical orientation.
