Mantra-Māhātmya and Sādhana of Kārtavīryārjuna
Nyāsa, Yantra, Homa, and Dīpa-Vrata
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches a precise contemplative mapping (nyāsa) where divine powers and mantra-elements (like bindu and svāhā) are visualized in specific loci, aligning inner perception with cosmic deities such as the Moon and Pūṣan.
By prescribing disciplined remembrance and placement of divine names and powers, it turns ritual visualization into sustained devotion—training the mind to dwell on the deity’s form and attributes with steadiness.
Ritual-application knowledge: correct use of “svāhā” (yajña formula), and technical mantra anatomy (bindu, placements/nyāsa) linked with deity-correspondences—typical of Narada Purana’s Vedanga-oriented material in Book 1.3.
