Mantra-Māhātmya and Sādhana of Kārtavīryārjuna
Nyāsa, Yantra, Homa, and Dīpa-Vrata
प्रीतौ हर्षं च सौभाग्ये शोभनायुष्मतोरपि । करणे विष्टिरहिते ग्रहणेऽर्द्धोदयादिषु ॥ ६५ ॥
prītau harṣaṃ ca saubhāgye śobhanāyuṣmatorapi | karaṇe viṣṭirahite grahaṇe'rddhodayādiṣu || 65 ||
Dans la prīti (l’affection), il y a harṣa (la joie). Pour la prospérité et la bonne fortune, les kāraṇas Saubhāgya, Śobhana et Āyuṣmān sont aussi recommandés. Pour entreprendre les rites, qu’on choisisse un kāraṇa exempt de Viṣṭi (Bhadrā); et qu’on observe de même les règles concernant les éclipses et les occasions particulières telles qu’Arddhodaya et autres semblables.

It links dharmic success in rites to right timing (kāla-śuddhi), teaching that auspicious outcomes depend on aligning actions with favorable pañcāṅga factors like karaṇa and avoiding inauspicious periods.
While technical, it supports bhakti-practice by guiding when devotional rites, vratas, and worship should be performed so that obstacles are minimized and the sādhaka’s intent is strengthened through disciplined observance.
