Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 89

Gaṇeśa Mantra-vidhi: Mahāgaṇapati Gāyatrī, Vakratuṇḍa Mantra, Nyāsa, Homa, Āvaraṇa-pūjā, and Caturthī Vrata

दीपस्य पुरतः स्थाप्यध्यात्वा देवं जपेन्मनुम् । प्रदीपे स्थापिते पश्येद्द्विजरूपं गणेश्वरम् ॥ ८९ ॥

dīpasya purataḥ sthāpyadhyātvā devaṃ japenmanum | pradīpe sthāpite paśyeddvijarūpaṃ gaṇeśvaram || 89 ||

En plaçant (l’offrande sacrée) devant la lampe, qu’on médite la divinité et qu’on récite le mantra. Lorsque la lampe est installée, qu’on contemple Gaṇeśvara sous la forme d’un « deux-fois-né » (brāhmaṇa).
