Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It prescribes dīpa-sthāpana (installing an offering-lamp) with purity (new vessel, ghee) and mantra, indicating that devotion is strengthened when outer ritual cleanliness and inner remembrance (mantra) are joined.
Bhakti here is expressed through a simple, repeatable offering—lighting a lamp—performed while invoking the Lord through well-known mantras (six- and eight-syllabled), making worship both accessible and mantra-centered.
It highlights ritual vidhi (procedural correctness) and mantra-prayoga (proper application of meter/syllable-count mantras), aligning practice with disciplined recitation and prescribed materials used in worship.
