दोषा ह्येते समाख्याता वक्ष्याम्येषां च लक्षणम् । संयुक्तं वा वियुक्तं वा त्रिधा वा स्वरसंयुतम् ॥ २० ॥
doṣā hyete samākhyātā vakṣyāmyeṣāṃ ca lakṣaṇam | saṃyuktaṃ vā viyuktaṃ vā tridhā vā svarasaṃyutam || 20 ||

It emphasizes that mantra-power depends on precision: knowing the defining marks of recitation faults protects the integrity of Vedic sound, which is treated as sacred and spiritually efficacious.
While primarily technical (Śikṣā), it supports bhakti by insisting that devotional and Vedic chanting should be done correctly—right sound and right accent become a disciplined offering (sevā) rather than careless utterance.
