Ensuite, qu’il nourrisse les brāhmaṇas et, selon ses moyens, qu’il donne aussi une dakṣiṇā. Puis, maîtrisant sa parole, qu’il prenne lui-même son repas, entouré de ses proches.
Narada (teaching in the Narada Purana dialogue framework)
Vrata: none (within Dvādaśī-vrata procedure sequence)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes completion of a rite through brāhmaṇa-sevā—feeding brāhmaṇas and giving dakṣiṇā—followed by disciplined personal conduct, making the act both outwardly correct and inwardly restrained.
Though framed as ritual conduct, it supports bhakti by cultivating humility, generosity, and self-control—qualities that purify the devotee and make worship offerings sincere rather than merely formal.
It reflects Kalpa (ritual procedure): the post-ritual sequence of brāhmaṇa-bhojana, dakṣiṇā, and regulated behavior (vāg-yama), which are standard markers of proper rite completion.
