Après avoir consulté les mouvements calculés des planètes, qu’on médite leur influence selon le jour de la semaine ; car, par les signes fastes et néfastes, nous discernons véritablement les caractères du temps.
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It presents kāla (time) as a discernible principle whose qualities are read through śubha–aśubha signs, encouraging disciplined, dharmic action aligned with cosmic order.
While not directly defining bhakti, it supports devotional life by advising that worship, vows, and sacred acts be performed at suitable times, so devotion is expressed with proper order (niyama) and reverence.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa: using planetary computations and the weekday (vāra) to judge auspiciousness/inauspiciousness and thereby choose appropriate timings for rites and observances.
