Graha–Ketu–Utpāta Lakṣaṇas: Solar/Lunar Omens, Comets, Eclipses, and Calendar Rules
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It frames worldly outcomes (health, loss, prosperity) as karma-phala readable through Jyotiṣa, encouraging discernment and detachment while living within dharma.
By showing that planetary combinations can bring mixed results, it implicitly directs the seeker to rely on steadier refuge—devotional surrender and righteous conduct—rather than mere worldly calculations.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa: interpreting results based on the nakṣatra lord (ṛkṣeśa) and the specific graha—Mars giving brilliance, Mercury giving illness plus fortune, Venus indicating loss, and Saturn indicating broad prosperity.
