Graha–Ketu–Utpāta Lakṣaṇas: Solar/Lunar Omens, Comets, Eclipses, and Calendar Rules
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada, within Moksha-Dharma/ritual-timing context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It links dharmic action to sacred time: even when rites concern favorable or unfavorable outcomes, their correctness depends on tithi-order and the deities presiding over those lunar days.
By naming Viṣṇu among the presiding powers of tithis, the verse implies that devotion is practiced not only through sentiment but also through disciplined observance of time-sanctified worship and vows.
It reflects Jyotiṣa-Vedāṅga usage: the sequencing of tithis and their associated deities, applied to deciding timing and propriety of rituals and vratas.
