शेषं कंदपदंतस्माद्भुजज्या कोटिरेव च । गताद्भुजज्याविषमे गम्यात्कोटिः पदे भवेत् ॥ ९५ ॥
śeṣaṃ kaṃdapadaṃtasmādbhujajyā koṭireva ca | gatādbhujajyāviṣame gamyātkoṭiḥ pade bhavet || 95 ||
De ce reste, retranche le «kandapada» (terme racine) ; on obtient alors la «bhujajyā» (sinus) et la «koṭi» (cosinus). Dans le cas inégal du sinus parcouru, le cosinus doit être déterminé à l’étape (pada) correspondante.
