Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 70

Sṛṣṭi-pralaya-kathana: Mahābhūta-guṇāḥ, Vṛkṣa-indriya-vādaḥ, Prāṇa-vāyu-vyavasthā

वल्ली वेष्टयते वृक्षान्सर्वतश्चैव गच्छति । नह्यदृष्टश्च मार्गोऽस्ति तस्मात्पश्यंति पादपाः ॥ ७० ॥

vallī veṣṭayate vṛkṣānsarvataścaiva gacchati | nahyadṛṣṭaśca mārgo'sti tasmātpaśyaṃti pādapāḥ || 70 ||

La liane enlace les arbres et s’étend en toutes directions. Pourtant, sa voie demeure invisible; ainsi, les arbres (pour ainsi dire) la perçoivent par son étreinte et son mouvement.
