Entre apāna et prāṇa, lorsque prāṇa et apāna sont harmonieusement coordonnés, le feu intérieur—fermement établi en son siège—« cuit » (digère) la nourriture comme il convient.

It links yogic regulation of prāṇa and apāna with inner purification: when the vital airs are harmonized, the inner agni functions correctly, supporting steadiness and clarity helpful for mokṣa-oriented practice.
Though primarily yogic-physiological, it supports bhakti indirectly: a balanced body and purified inner fire steady the mind and senses, making japa, remembrance, and devotion to Viṣṇu easier and more consistent.
No specific Vedāṅga is taught in this verse; it emphasizes practical yoga/prāṇāyāma-style regulation of vital airs and the concept of agni (digestive/metabolic fire) as a functional basis for discipline.
