Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 104

Sṛṣṭi-pralaya-kathana: Mahābhūta-guṇāḥ, Vṛkṣa-indriya-vādaḥ, Prāṇa-vāyu-vyavasthā

संधिष्वपि च सर्वेषु संनिविष्टस्तथानिलः । शरीरेषु मनुष्याणां व्यान इत्युपदिश्यते ॥ १०४ ॥

saṃdhiṣvapi ca sarveṣu saṃniviṣṭastathānilaḥ | śarīreṣu manuṣyāṇāṃ vyāna ityupadiśyate || 104 ||

Ce souffle vital (vāyu) qui demeure aussi dans toutes les articulations, dans le corps des humains, est enseigné comme étant Vyāna.
