Brāhma Purāṇānukramaṇikā

On y rapporte aussi : l’exposé des enfers, le récit des hymnes de louange à Sūrya (Sūrya-stuti), ainsi que la naissance et le mariage de Pārvatī.
Suta (Anukramanika-style narrator summarizing contents)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
It functions as a contents-marker: it signals that the text will teach consequences of karma (naraka accounts), the power of sacred praise (Sūrya-stuti), and dharmic-divine exemplars through Pārvatī’s birth and marriage narrative.
By highlighting “Sūrya-stuti-kathānaka,” it indicates bhakti expressed through stuti (hymns) as an approved puranic method—devotion articulated via praise and remembrance of a deity’s glory.
Indirectly, it points to stuti usage in ritual culture (chandas/mantra-style praise) and to karmic causality (ethical-ritual discipline), though no specific Vedāṅga (like Jyotiṣa or Vyākaraṇa) is explicitly taught in this single verse.
